APPRAISE 2
Eligibility
Persons may be eligible to participate in this trial if they meet the following criteria.
- 18 years of age or older
- Acute coronary syndrome
- Clinically stable
- Receiving standard care for ACS
Persons may be excluded from this trial if they meet the following criteria.
- Severe hypertension
- Active bleeding or high risk for major bleeding
- Hemoblobin <9 g/dL

Apixiban for Prevention of Acute Iscehemic Events (APPRAISE 2)
Purpose
To determine if apixaban is superior to placebo for preventing cardiovascular death, non-fatal myocardial infarction, or ischemic stroke in subjects with a recent acute coronary syndrome (ACS).
Summary
This is randomized, double blind, evaluation of the safety and efficacy of Apixaban in subjects with recent ACS, which compares Apixaban to placebo to discover if Apixaban is superior in preventing cardiovascular death.
